firstly reported from Mount Tebako in Shikoku

Lifeform: rhizomatous, deciduous, perennial forb, with 25-90 cm tall
Distribution: endemic to Japan (Pacific Ocean side, south to Kanto District)
Habitat: forests floor
Seed dispersal: wind
