Centaurea L. (ヤグルマギク)
Yamayagurumagiku (ヤマヤグルマギク, 山矢車菊), perennial cornflower, bachelor's-button, montane knapweed or mountain bluet

Cyanus cyanus L.: annual

Lifeform: erect, perennial forb
Distribution: Europe (widespread and common in the southerly mountain ranges and rare in the north)
Habitat: meadows and open woodlands in upper montane and sub-alpine zones
Use: gardening → escaped in Japan
Chromosome number: 2n = 24 (probably a few types)
Synonyms:

Cyanus montanus (L.) Hill, used when the genus establishes
