Xanthophthalmum Schultz-Bipontinus (シュンギク)
Shungiku (シュンギク, 春菊), crown daisy
Lifeform: annual/biennial forb
Distribution: originally in the Mediterranean

Japan: recorded in 1697

Habitat: sunny sites, escaped from gardens and crop fields
Flower: bascially yellow
Synonyms:

Chrysanthemum coronarium L.
Glebionis coronaria (L.) Cass. ex Spach, often used
Chrysanthemum roxburghii Cass.

Use: vegetable (Kikuna, 菊菜) → cultivars
