Chrysanthemum (キク)
Ryuunougiku (リュウノウギク, 竜脳菊), camphol aster* (*: tentative)
Lifeform: perennial forb with 30-50 cm in height
Distribution: endemic to Japan between Honshu (Fukushima and Niigata Prefecture) and Kyushu (Miyazaki Prefecture)
Habitat: forest margins and gaps
Chromosome number: 2n = 18
Use: formerly used as medicine (by camphor and borneol)
