Cichorium L. (キクニガナ)
Kikunigana (キクニガナ, 菊苦菜), chicory, blue daisy, blue dandelion, blue sailors, and more

Lifeform: perennial forb with 60-150 cm tall when flowering
Distribution: native to Europe and central Asia
Habitat: roadsides, open lands, etc., escaped from gardening
Fruit: achenes without pappus
Use: vegetable

radicchio, sugarloaf, Belgian endive, etc.
