Lifeform: annual/biennial grass
Distribution: Europe (widespread in Japan now)
Habitat: roadsides, open lands and waste lands
Arista = 12-15 mm (B. diandrus = 30-60 mm
Chromosome number: 2n = 14
Synonyms:

Anisantha tectorum (L. ) Nevski

var. glabratus Spenner (メウマノチャヒキ), no hair on spicule
