Usagino-o (ウサギノオ, 兎ノ尾), hare's-tail, hare's-tail grass or bunnytail
Lifeform: clump-forming annual grass
Distribution: the Mediterranean Basin and nearby regions
Habitat: dry coasts, grasslands, grassy woodlands, roadsides, disturbed sites, waste areas and wetlands (escaped to roadsides in Japan)
Leaf: softly pubescent
Chromosome number: 2n = 14
Use: ornamental
