Rikuchudake (リクチュウダケ, 陸中竹), Rikuchu bamoboo* (tentative)
Lifeform: perennial bamboo
Distribution: Japan (origin, authigene unknown), cultivated in Tohokku District

Type: Yonai (米内) in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture
Cold tolerant (growing in Kushiro, eastern Hokkaido)

Habitat: cultivated bamboo forests
Culm: green to tinged with purple
Branch: short with small leaves - adaptive to snow
Use: gardening
