Shirahoshimugura (シラホシムグラ, 白星葎), cleavers, goosegrass, catchweed, stickybud, robin-run-the-hedge, sticky willy, sticky willow, stickyjack, or grip grass
Lifeform: creeping, annual/biennial forb
Distribution: North Africa - Europe - Asia (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: hedges, roadsides, wastelands, limestone scree, etc., and as a garden weed
Synonyms:

Asperula aparine (L.) Besser nom. illeg.
Asterophyllum aparine (L.) Schimp. et Spenn.
Rubia aparine (L.) Baill.
