Madaraodorikosou* (マダラオドリコソウ, 斑踊子草), spotted deadnettle, spotted henbit, purple dragon or cut-leaved deadnettle (* tentative translation)
Lifeform: evergreen, prostrate, spreading, perennial forb
Distribution: throughout north Africa, Europe and temperate Asia (exotic to Japan)
Habitat: sunny to partly shaded (escaped)
Synonyms: many
Cultivars: many represented by Beacon Silver, Ghost, Pink Nancy, Roseum, Shell Pink, and Purple Dragon
Use: vegetable, and herb tea
