Keshousarubia (ケショウサルビア, 化粧サルビア), mealy blue sage, mealycup sage or mealy sage
Lifeform: semi-cold-tolerant, perennial forb ≈ 50-90 cm tall
Distribution: southwestern USA - Mexico
Habitat: prairie, plains, meadows, pastures, savannas, woodlands edge, opening, dry calcalreous substrates
Utilization: cultivated as an annual used for ornamental
Synonyms:

Salvia earlei Wooton et Standl.
Salvia linearis Sessé et Moc.
Salvia virgata Ortega.

Varieties: many cultivars, e.g., blue bedder, strata and victoria
