Lifeform: perennial forb ≈ 20-80 cm tall
Distribution: China - Korea - Japan (bewteen Ryuku and Honshu)
Habitat: roadsides, grasslands, and sparse forests
Chromosome number: 2n = 16
Synonyms:

Salvia rosulata Nakai

f. albiflora Hiyama (シロバナアキノタムラソウ), white flower
