Trifolium L. (シャジクソウ)
Benibanatsumekusa (ベニバナツメクサ, 紅花詰草), strawberry candle or crimson clover
Lifeform: perennial forb ≈ 20-60 cm tall (treated as annual for gardening)
Distribution: Europe and western Asia

introduced to Japan during Meiji Era, used for pasture

Habitat: fields, pastures, meadows, roadsides, waste lands, etc.

intolerant to high temperature
