Lifeform: perennial forb ≈ 15-50 cm in height
Distribution: Europe - central Asia- Mongolia - northern and northeastern China - Russia (Siberia and Far East) - Korea - Japan (between Hokkaido and central Honshu) - Kurils - Alaska
Habitat: rocky surfaces, dry grasslands, etc.
Chromosome number: 2n = 48
