Papaver L. (ケシ)
Nagamihinageshi (ナガミヒナゲシ, 長実雛芥子), long-headed poppy, field poppy or blindeyes
Lifeform: variable annuarl forb, ranging form 15 cm to 60 cm high
Distribution: Mediterranean - central Europe (exotic to Japan)

First report of colonization in Japan was from Tokyo in 1916
Hokkaido Blue List: D, in 1976 reported firstly from Hokkaido (Takahashi 1976)

Habitat: distrubed sites, such as roadsides, open spaces, plowed fields, etc.
Morphology: highly-plastic
Seedbank: long-term persist
Chromosome number: 2n = 28, or 42
