Hamabossu (ハマボッス, 浜払子), spoonleaf yellow loosestrife (USA) or ocean primrose
Lifeform: succulent, biennial/perennial forb with 10-40 cm in height
Distribution: India- China - southeastern Asia - Japan - Islands in Pacific Ocean
Habitat: seacoasts, such as beaches and maritime rock crevices
Chromosome number: 2n = 20
Synonyms:

Lubinia mauritiana (Lam.) Spreng.
Lysimachia lubinioides Siebold et Zucc.
Lysimachia lineariloba Hook. et Arn.

var. rubida (Koidz.) T. Yamaz. (オオハマボッス), endemic to Bonin Islands
