Life form: deciduous shrub ≈ 1 m tall
Distribution: China - Korea - Japan (south to Chubu District)
Habitat: sunny sites, such as forest edges and secondary forests
Stem: no spines
Seed dispersal: red fruits → animal (edible fruit)
Use: gardening
