Camellia L. (ツバキ)
Sazanka (サザンカ, 山茶花), Sasanqua camellia
Life form: evergreen, short tree
Distribution: Indonesia - China - Taiwan - southern Japan (= the northern limit)
Habitat: evergreen broad-leaved forests
Flowering: from fall to winter
Flower: thinner (naturally 5-6) petals than C. japonica, petals separatedly dissipated
Utilization: gardening
Cultivars (used for gardening, flower colors = white to red)
