Lifeform: evergreen shrub up to 6 m tall
Distribution: native to Mexico and the tropical South America

→ invasive to Australia, China, South Africa, etc.

Habitat: disturbed sites
Flower: violet, white, etc.
Fruit: globose yellow or orange berry (→ animal dispersal)
Use: gardening
