Nymphaea L. (スイレン)
Akabanasuiren (アカバナスイレン, 赤花睡蓮), hairy water lily, pink water-lily or Indian red waterlily
Akabanahitsujigusa (アカバナヒツジグサ, 赤花未草)
Lifeform: floating, perennial forb, developing erect rhizomes
Distribution: throughout temperate and tropical Asia
Habitat: shallow lakes and ponds
Use: aquarium plant, edible (flower and flower stalk)
Synonyms:

Nymphaea pubescens Willd.
Nymphaea lotus L. var. pubescens (Willd.) Hook. f. et Thomson
