Exotic pink-flowered Oxalis


Five species recorded in Shimizu 2003)
1. large flower = 3-5 cm Φ

2. the top of leaflet = concave / ca 10 flowers per flower stalk ___ O. bowiei Lodd. (ハナカタバミ)
2. the top of leaflet = non-concave / 1 flower per flower stalk ___ O. variabilis Jacq. (フヨウカタバミ)

1. small flower = 1.5-2 cm Φ

2. potato-like tuber in belowground ___ O. articulata Savigny (イモカタバミ)
2. bulb covered by brown scales in belowground

3. white anther ___ O. corymbosa DC. (ムラサキカタバミ)
3. yellow anther ___ O. acetosella L. var. longicapsula Terao (ヒョウノセンカタバミ), native (south to the sourthern part of Hokkaido)
