Lifeform: deciduous perennial forb < 2 m high
Distribution: East Asia (China- southern Japan), an ingterior exotic for Hokkaido

native to Kyushu ↔ exotic to Hokkaido (introduced for erosion control)
Hokkaido Blue List: A3
firstly reported from Hokkaido in 1983

Habitat: roadsides, grasslands, shrublands, and forests
Seed dispersal: wind
