Lifeform: weedy, annual forb < 80 m in height
Distribution: originally in Africa

firstly reported from Fukuoka Prefecture in 1950 (Osada) or from Kitakyushu City in 1947 (Satake et al.)
widespred in south to Kanto District now

Habitat: bare grounds, e.g., developed by wildfire and forest cutting, as a pioneer
Seed dispersal: wind
Chromosome number: 2n = 40
