Lifeform: short, perennial forb ≤ 20 cm tall (treated as annual in temperate regions for gardening)
Origin: southern Africa (Malawi - Namibia - South Africa)
Habitat: mesic grasslnads and wetlands (湿原)
Stem: prostrate or scrambling
Chromosome number: 2n = 28 or 42
Use: gardening (as bedding plant)
Cultivars: not only blue but also white, pink and red flowers
