Distribution: Japan (southern Hokkaido - Japan Sea side of Honshu - Shikoku) (Flora on Mount Koma)
Habitat: pioneer in disturbed habitats, such as volcanoes, waste lands and roadsides
Seed dispersal: wind
Use: erosion control
