Oobayashabushi (オオバヤシャブシ, 大葉夜叉五倍子), Japanese green alder
Lifeform: deciduous shrub, with less than 10 m in height
Distribution: endemic to Japan between Kii and southern Tohoku and on Hachijo Island
Habitat: pioneer in disturbed habitats, such as volcanoes, waste lands and roadsides, and on coastal forests
Seed dispersal: wind
Use: erosion control and greenness
