Hanachouji (ハナチョウジ, 花丁子), fountainbush, firecracker plant, coral plant, coral fountain, coralblow or fountain plant
Lifeform: weeping, evergreen subshrub with 1.2-1.5 m tall
Distribution: Mexico - Guatemala

naturalized to artificially disturbed habitats in the other regions

Leaf: heterophylly = proximal leaves (like usual leaves) + distal leaves (like filaments)
Chromosome number: 2n = 20
Use: ornamental - cultivars, e.g., burncoose and lemon falls
Synonyms (Hultén 1968):
