Lifeform: well-branching, perennial forb
Distribution: Korea - Sakhalin - Japan (north to northern Honshu) - Ussuri - Aleutian Islands
Habitat: seashores represented by sand dunes and cobble beeches
Flower: pink (bud stage) → blue (flower stage)

Corolla: 5 mm long
ssp. asiatica Takeda
Hamabenkeisou (ハマベンケイソウ, s.s.)
Distribution: between Korea - Aleutian
