Distribution: native to southwestern North America

immigrated to western and central Japan, invasive species to various countries
firstly reported from Aichi Prefecture in 1940s
invasive species

Habitat: farmland, along rice field, pasture field, roadside, vacancy, lawn field, etc.
Seed dispersal: wind
Chromosome number: 2n = 20
