E. ulmoides Oliv. Tochuu (トチュウ, 杜仲), hardy rubber tree, Gutta-percha tree, or Chinese rubber tree
Lifeform: deciduous tree = 15-20 m in height
Distribution: China (near threatened in wild)

imported to Japan in 1918

Habitat: mixed forests, sparse forests, thickets, lower mountains and dry ravines
Use: bark used for traditional Chinese medicine (大防風湯, etc.)
