Doudantsutsuji (ドウダンツツジ, 燈台躑躅), white enkianthus
Life form: deciduous shrub < 3 m in height
Distribution: northern Taiwan - Japan (south to Honshu)
Habitat: mountains, in particular, in serpentine zones
Flower: urn-shaped, lantern-like, snowy white
Use: gardening
