Lifeform: semi-deciduous shrub < 2 m tall
Distribution: endemic to Japan (central and western Honshu, and Shikoku)
Habitat: secondary forests, in particular, in Pinus densiflora forests
Mycorrhiza: ericoid
Use: gardening
