Allium L. (ネギ)
O-ohananira (オオハナニラ, 大花韮), garlic chives
Lifeform: perennial forb ≈ 1.5 m tall
Distribution: naturally found in central and southwestern Asia (Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan)
Habitat: sunny sites, escaped from gardening (in the case of Japan)
cv globemaster: short (< 80 cm), producing big, deep violet umbels (15–20 cm in diameter)
Flower: late spring - early summer
Synonyms:

Allium procerum Trautv. ex Regel
