Chionodoxa Boiss. (ユキゲユリ)
Yukigeyuri (ユキゲユリ, 雪解百合), glory of the snow
Lifeform: bulbous perennial herb
Distribution: originally in Crete (the Mediterranean) and Asia Minor → exotic to Japan
Habitat: (sub-)alpine in the native regions
Many cultivars, e.g., pink giant, blue giant, gigantea
Synonyms:

Chionodoxa gigantea Whittall, sometimes used
Scilla luciliae (Boiss.) Speta, when not separated
