Lifeform: perennial forb, producing bulbils
Distribution: originally in China, immigrated to Korea and Japan in ancient times
Habitat: roadsides and grasslands
Stem: developing propagules
Chromosome number: 2n = 24 or 36
Synonyms:

Lilium tigrinum Ker Gawl.

var. flaviflorum Makino (オウゴンオニユリ)
Distribution: naturally only in Tsushima Islands (almost extinct)
