Mebouki (メボウキ, 目箒), basil
Lifeform: perennial shrub (treated as annual in Japan because of non-overwintering)
Distribution: native to tropical Asia, including India
Habitat: escaped from crop fields and gardens
Utilization: ornamental herb → about 150 cultivars
