Shiran (シラン, 紫蘭), hyacinth orchid, Chinese ground orchid or hardy orchid
Lifeform: perennial herb, reproduced by pseudo-bulbs, with 20-60 cm in height
Distribution: China - Taiwan - Japan (south to Chubu or Kanto District)
Habitat: sunny grasslands
Chromosome number: 2n = 32, 38 or 76
Use: gardening
