Lifeform: stoloniferous, perennial forb
Distribution: Korea (Jeju) - Japan (south to southwestern Hokkaido)
Habitat: mesic sites, represented by moist forest floor
Flower stalk: non-erect flower stalk Chromosome number: 2n = 24
Synonyms:

Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam. var. pauciflora (Y. Yabe) T. Yamaz.
Hydrocotyle nitidula, auct. non A. Rich.

var. japonica (Makino) M.Hiroe (ミヤマチドメ)
