Lifeform: perennial vine
Distribution: East Asia - China - Taiwan - Japan (Honshu, south to Chiba Prefecture at Pacific Ocean side and south to Yamagata Prefecture at Japan Sea side)
Habitat: sand dune along seacoasts
Flower: pink - red
Seed: water dispersal, often utilizing ocean current

containing concanavalin (protein) that is poison
