Abies Mill. (モミ)
Urajiromomi (ウラジロモミ, 裏白樅), Nikko fir
Lifeform: evergreen needle-leaved tree
Distribution: endemic to Japan (between Fukushima Prefecture and Shikoku Island)
Habitat: temperate rain forests, with 700-2200 m elevation
Leaf: flattened, 1.5-3.5 cm long and 2-3 mm wide, with two white bands of stomata at the backside
Natural hybrids: A. × umbellata Mayr (ミツミネモミ, syn. A. homolepis var. umbellata (Mayr) E. H. Wilson), hybrids between A. homolepsi and A. firma, distributed in Kanto and Chubu District
