Nageia Gaertn. (ナギ)
Nagi (ナギ, 梛), Asian bayberry or kaphal
Lifeform: dioecious, coniferous, evergreen tree ≈ 25 m in height
Distribution: southern China - Taiwan - southern Japan
Habitat: evergreen broad-leaved forest
Chromosome number: 2n = 26
Utilization: transplantion around shrines (used for holy). Gardens, trees, hedges and graves Synonyms:

Podocarpus nagi (Thunb.) Zoll. et Moritzi ex Makino var. nankoensis (Hayata) Masam.
Podocarpus nagi (Thunb.) Zoll. et Moritzi ex Makino, used when this genus is not established
Decussocarpus nagi (Thunb.) de Laub.
