Sanjisou (三時草)
Life form: perennial forb, developing tuberous roots
Distribution: southern United States - Latin America

introduced to Japan in early Meiji (escaped)

Habitat: moist or wet fields or thickets, often in waste ground, sometimes in cultivated fields
Use: gardening (and vegetable) - a few cultivars Synonyms:

Talinum triangulare auct. non (Jacq.) Willd.
Talinum crassifolium auct. non Willd.
