One species, B. lanceolata, distributed in Japan Tsukubane (ツクバネ, 衝羽根), horsefly eye (tentative)
Life form: hemiparasitic, deciduous shrub, with 1-2.5 m in height
Distribution: endemic to Japan (south to Kanto District)
Habitat: mountainous areas, especially dry ridges, slopes and forest edges and interior
Root: parasitic
- f. tanigawaensis (Ohki) Sugim. (タニガワツクバネ)
- f. subtriflora Hiyama (フサツクバネ), discarded (merged into B. lanceolata)
