Torano-o-shida (トラノオシダ, 虎之尾羊歯), tiger tail fern* (direct translation)
Life form: evergreen fern
Distribution: China - Korea - Taiwan - Japan (mostly in Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu) - Sakhalin
Habitat: dry sites, such as road sides, rocks (stone walls) and forest edges
Leaf: dimorphic (vegetative and sexual leaves)
