Lifeform: deciduous, short shrub or perennial forb, with 20-50 cm tall
Distribution: the Mascarene Islands (east of Madagascar, the Indian Ocean)

invasive to other tropical and subtropical regions, including southern Japan

Habitat: as a weed in flower beds, gardens, roadsides, and other disturbed areas
Synonyms:

Phyllanthus corcovadensis Müll. Arg.
