Shiretokosumire (シレトコスミレ, 知床菫), Shiretoko violet*
Lifeform: deciduous forb
Distribution: endemic to Japan (eastern Hokkaido - Etorofu Island)

→ Japan: only on Mounts Iwo (硫黄山) and Rausu (羅臼岳)

Habitat: bareground on and upper Pinus pumila zone (in alpine zone)
Chromosome number: 2n = 12
