Lifeform: large, clump-forming perennial forb ≈ 3 m tall
Distribution: southern Brazil - Columbia → cold-tolerant
Habitat: damp conditions, including wetlands
Leaf: > 1 m wide, largest in the world
Stalk: developing spikes
Symbiosis: blue-green algae (Nostoc punctiforme)
Use: gardening, food (→ stalk)
