Atractylodes DC. (オケラ)
Okera (オケラ, 朮), ovate-leaf atractylodes
Lifeform (生活型): rhizomatous, perennial forb, with 30-70 cm in height
Distribution: northeastern China - Korea - Japan (south to Honshu)
Habitat: grasslands, forest edges and forests
Flower: white - pale red
Use: edible (wild vegetable), medicine (stomachic property, intestinal regulation, diuresis, antiperspirant) by atractylon, etc.
Synonyms:

Atractylodes ovata (Thunb.) DC. var. ternata (Kom.) Kom., discarded
Atractylodes japonica Koidz. ex Kitam.
