Chamaecyparis Spach (ヒノキ)
Amerikahinoki (アメリカヒノキ, 亜米利加檜), Nootka cypress, yellow cypress, Alaska cypress, Nootka cedar, yellow cedar or Alaska cedar
Lifeform: evergreen, coniferous tree, with 40 m in height (60 m in maximum)
Distribution: Kenai Peninsula in Alaska - Pacific Northwest, including Cascades - Klamath Mountains in northernmost California
Habitat: adjacent to open habitats at high elevation including timberline
Utilization: structural material, foundation, boat, furniture, etc.
Synonyms:

Callitropsis nootkatensis (D. Don) Florin, when separated (recently applied frequently)
Cupressus nutkatensis Hook.
Xanthocyparis nootkatensis (D. Don) Farjon et D. K. Harder
