Life form: annual/perennial forb
Distribution: Europe - nothern Asia (exotic to Japan)

Japan: south to Aomori Prefecture (mostly in Kanto and Chubu District)
Firstly reported from Sagami in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1867
Invasive alien species to Japan

Habitat: riverbeds, paddy fields, etc.
Use: edible Hybrids:

V. × myriantha Tos. Tanaka (ホナガカワヂシャ) = V. undulata × anagallisaquatica
